Vance Creek County Park, From I5 south bound take the ocean beaches and head toward Aberdeen HY 101. After about 5 miles 101 turns into HY 8. Take the 2nd exit in Elma turn Left and follow the signs to Vance Creek County Park. I 5 North bound take the HY 12 exit and follow to Elma and take the 2nd exit turn left and follow the signs to Vance Creek County Park.

SWIM COURSE 500/1500 METERS The swim is one or three loops in a man made lake which can warm up to the upper 60’s in the summer. The water is usually 60-65 degrees. BIKE COURSE 12/25 MILES The highlight of the event, both courses take you to the base of the cooling towers of the decommissioned Satsop nuclear power plants. The ride has one hill about ¾ mile long and about 5% grade, the rest of the ride is flat and fast on good roads. RUN COURSE 3.1/6.2 MILES The run is an out and back course and depending on event one or two loops on Wenzel slough Road. Standard USAT age group categories, including Clydesdale and Athena.
